What started as a small event called VANFEST in 1994 at The Three counties Showground, Malvern, the annual BUSFEST event has grown to become the world’s LARGEST INTERNATIONAL BUSFESTIVAL event for owners, lovers and enthusiasts of Volkswagen Transporter Van’s.

In BUSFEST 2024 we celebrated our 30th birthday of putting on events at the Malvern Three Counties Showground, those years being split across VANFEST & BUSFEST. Though BUSFEST & VANFEST are far from the only events we have been a part of, our passionate crew have been active members of the Volkswagen scene for decades and have worked with multiple shows to put on events for something they’re so enthusiastic about.

BIG NEWS: We’re going Green!

At Busfest we are passionate about promoting sustainability and committing to environmental responsibility. We are working in partnership with The Three Counties Showground management and in accordance with the Waste Recycling Act 2003 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to make Busfest a cleaner event. Going forward, all non-recyclable & single use plastics are now banned at Busfest.

What does that mean for me?

This means that all our traders, food & drink suppliers, eateries, bars etc will be exclusively using & providing reusable or recyclable items such as reusable cups at bars or wooden cutlery with takeaway food.

Those attending our event will need to try and avoid bringing non-recyclable items to the show, if this can’t be avoided don’t panic. We just ask that you take it away with you when you leave as we do not have the facilities to deal with non-recyclable waste.

Being a camping event most of you will already be bringing along your own cups, cutlery etc so please feel free to bring these out with you if you’re wanting to grab some food from a vendor.

Campers are always provided with a bin bag upon arrival – going forward you’ll now be provided with two! One for recyclable waste that can go in our bins, and the other for waste that can’t. Just sort your waste at your campsite and take the correct bag away with you when you leave.

If you really want to be an environmental superstar – you can empty the bin bag of recyclable waste into our bins and take the bag back to your camp to (you guessed it) reuse! This helps our waste management crew immensely as though the bags are recyclable, they get tangled in the sorting machine so all the bags have to be emptied by hand.

If you’d like to take your non-recyclable waste to a supermarket to be taken care of the nears is Morrisons WR14 1PZ.

Why come to BUSFEST?

BUSFEST is the fun loving & family friendly event of the year for all VW lovers or just people who want to have a great weekend – so if you’re NOT into your rusty campers, your loud off-roading 4×4’s, or your super plush vintage classics – BUSFEST is a fantastic event for everybody. BUSFEST has so much to offer, from the extensive Trade Village, a massive fun fair, daytime entertainment ranging from kids activities to a full blown stunt show – not to mention the FIVE stages we have for all our evening entertainment!

If you are like us and you’re utterly obsessed with everything VW then this is absolutely the place to be – with displays showcasing some of the very best around, vehicle sales areas if you’re on the hunt for a new project, our autojumble if you’re missing a piece for said project, The Syncro Trial for those who like to put theirs to the test, or our Show & Shine competition for those who want to show off their hard work and the beauty that they’ve built.

Lets just say – there’s a reason we’re the world’s largest VW Transporter show and we hope you join us again (or for the first time) in September 2024 to celebrate our 30th year of putting on events.

All new Artisan Farmers Market

In 2024 for the first time ever we hosted the Great Malvern Artisan Farmers market where you can pick up some expertly crafted goodies made locally. We love to support small businesses and even more so to support small businesses and farmers local to us, so we hope you’ll sample their wares and continue to support them once you leave our show. If you’re local please check out their market in Great Malvern every third Saturday of the month.

See below for the list of traders we had for Busfest 2024.

“Fab festival for all enthusiasts and those who are simply enthusiastic!

So much to see and do for all ages, day and night.

If you’ve never been, you should give it a try!”
